The Wildcats defeated Old Mill on Thursday in the first round of the playoffs 13-3 in six innings.
Arundel scored early in the first inning when Skylar Morley was hit by a pitch, Maddy Miller advanced her on a single and Madison Gentry scored her on a single.
Old Mill answered in the top of the second scoring one to tie the game when S. Aguilar reached on a one out single. V. Goodwin hit another single and Aguilar tried to advance to third but a Morley to Kaitlyn Penny to Abby Protin relay combined for the second out. Goodwin scored on a two out double by R. Metterr.
Arundel answered back quickly in the top of the third scoring three runs and one batter short of batting through the line-up. Sam Cinotti, Penny and Protin each scored Miller, Gentry and Penny.
Old Mill did not answer until the top of the fourth. Arundel quickly recorded two outs but Agular was hit by a pitch and Goodwin, Metterr and K. Rose put singles together to score Aguilar and Goodwin pulling Old Mill to within one run of Arundel.
After a 30 minute delay in the game due to thunder. Arundel woke up their bats in the bottom of the fifth scoring seven runs. Penny reached on a single but was caught stealing at third base for one out. Morley and Gentry each had two runs batted in a piece, Cinotti and Penny each batted a run in as well.
Arundel won the game in walk-off fashion as Cheyenne Starr hit a two run home run on the bottom of the sixth to put Arundel up by ten runs.
