The Arundel High School JV Girls Soccer team carried home a victory with a 6 -0 defeat over Northeast. The wildcats dominated play during the first half, but there was only one goal scored. Freshman Bridget Sevec carried the ball down the right sideline and cut in towards the top of the box to have a shot that went right over the head of Northeast’s goalie. The Wildcat’s had many opportunities in the first half, but could not capitalize on another goal. The Wildcat’s regrouped at half and came out scoring 5 goals in the next 10 minutes of the second half. Tenayie Jacovics scored two goals in the half, one with an assist from Alexa Sheban, and the other as an unassisted goal. Defenders Ella Quigley and Mope Elabanjo both scored unassisted goals striking the ball outside the 18 yard box for a goal each. Sevec had another goal with an assist from Emma Pollak. Goalies Dominique Popa and Amber Franklin had another shutout for the season. The Wildcats added another win to their streak and take on South River at home Thursday October 10th.
