Wildcats News · Update from AACPS about Spring Sports

We appreciate your interest in supporting Arundel high school athletic events.  Out of an abundance of caution, and at the advice of our county health department, Anne Arundel County Public Schools announced on March 11th that all spring athletic contests will take place without spectators.  We respectfully ask that all spectators, including family members, honor this directive.  If you are staying on campus please wait in your vehicle during the event.  Thank you for your support as we work to continue to provide student-athletes with participation opportunities during this challenging time.

While this applies to spring athletics, it also applies to gatherings such as fundraisers, team dinners, and end-of-the-season celebrations. Please speak with your fall, winter, or spring coach to determine if this applies to you.

In addition to Arundel events being effected, the Crofton High Athletic Informational night scheduled for Thursday, March 19, 2020, has been cancelled. Please see the message from Principal Feuerherd below:

Crofton High School families,

Due to the cancellation of large-scale public events by AACPS, the upcoming Crofton High School Athletics Informational Meeting that was scheduled for Thursday, March 19 is cancelled.  It is our hope to reschedule this event as soon as possible once the concern around the coronavirus has dissipated.  Thank you for your patience and understanding as we take this precaution to keep our students, families, and staff safe and healthy.

This is an ever-changing and unpredictable situation. We are in constant communication with county and state officials and will share updates with you as soon as possible. On behalf of Arundel Athletics, I thank you for your patience and understanding. Please reach out to me if you have questions or concerns.
